Why I Started Podojil & Associates, Inc.

Podojil & Associates, Inc. was founded in 1999, inspired by a tragic workplace accident at a major aerospace company where Mr. Podojil served as Corporate Safety & Health Manager.

Despite warnings about unsafe conditions, senior management failed to act—leading to an electrical explosion that severely injured two employees.

This defining moment led him to leave the corporation and dedicate his life to building safer workplaces.

Code of Professional Conduct

The Code of Professional Conduct ("Code, Ethics, Responsibilities and Standards") are the ethical benchmark for Podojil & Associates, Incorporated around the globe, regardless of job title, cultural differences, or local laws. As a Podojil & Associates, Incorporated employee or client, you are required to follow the Podojil & Associates, Incorporated Code of Conduct, Ethics, Responsibilities and Standards. A code of professional conduct is a necessary component to any profession to maintain ethics and standards for the individuals within that profession to adhere. It brings about accountability, responsibility and trust to the individuals that the profession serves.

Podojil & Associates, Incorporated Code of Conduct, Ethics, Responsibilities and Standards have established the highest principles and standards for the organization. These Principles are general statements expressing the ethical and professional company and management ideals. We will never risk a worker's safety or health and we will always protect the environment in which we work. Podojil & Associates, Incorporated and its employees would rather turn down an assignment than put a worker at risk. Each worker has the right to go to work each day and return home safely to their families.

Principles

Principle 1 – Integrity:

Podojil & Associates, Incorporated provides professional services with integrity. Integrity demands honesty and candor which must not be subordinated to personal gain or advantage. Employees are placed in positions of trust by employers, employees, and clients. Allowance can be made for innocent error and legitimate differences of opinion, but integrity and honesty cannot co-exist with deceit or subordination of one's principles. Employees and applicants shall exhibit loyalty in all matters, but shall not knowingly engage in illegal or improper activities.

Principle 2 – Competence:

Management and employees must maintain the knowledge and skill necessary to provide professional services competently. Competence includes attaining and maintaining adequate knowledge, applying it effectively, recognizing its limits, consulting other professionals when necessary, and committing to continuous professional improvement.

Principle 3 – Responsibility:

Responsibility is our duty to take ownership of our decisions, actions, and their consequences. We make decisions based on the best interests of society, employers, clients, their employees, and the environment. All management, consultants, and clients shall comply with laws, regulations, policies, and ethical standards. Podojil & Associates shall never put employees or the public at risk and accept responsibility for professional activities.

Principle 4 – Rules of Practice:

Podojil & Associates shall hold paramount the safety, health, environmental, and welfare of the public. If a consultant's judgment is overruled under circumstances that endanger life or property, they shall notify the client and appropriate authorities. Knowledge of any alleged violation of this Code must be reported to professional bodies and, when relevant, to public authorities, cooperating with them as required.
