Evaluation of the working environment includes assessing factors such as heat stress and human vibration, along with a detailed evaluation of overall working conditions. The program focuses on developing an interactive ergonomics plan, evaluating the design of equipment and workstations, and conducting ergonomics risk assessments. It also covers industrial ergonomics, standing at work considerations, the role of ergonomics in safety committees, understanding what controls human behavior, identifying an inventory of key undesirable behaviors, and implementing effective strategies to control and reduce those undesired behaviors. Participants will learn the fundamental principles of ergonomics and their practical applications, including the proper use of equipment, tools, and machine controls. Emphasis is placed on good work practices such as proper lifting techniques, increasing awareness of work tasks that may lead to pain or injury, and recognizing early symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). The training also highlights the importance of reporting and addressing early indications of MSDs before serious injury develops, understanding OSHA procedures for reporting work-related injuries and illnesses under 29 CFR Part 1904, and learning how to conduct proper workplace evaluations in offices, factories, and construction sites.
