The course clarifies the different types of EtO exposure monitoring, lists and explains the exposure levels used by OSHA, reviews the exposure monitoring requirements in OSHA’s EtO rules, and outlines the monitoring decisions that employers need to make when employees work in areas where EtO is present. Topics covered include the health and fire hazards of ethylene oxide, ways employees can be exposed, methods to control exposure, how to protect yourself, the use of respirators, medical surveillance and medical removal, and OSHA rules on ethylene oxide.
