Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to locate OSHA standards applicable to the wind power generation industry and identify relevant American National Standards for specific wind power equipment and operations. They will also recognize and understand key subjects, including an introduction to wind energy, how wind power systems work, general training requirements, medical and first aid procedures, personal protective equipment, fall protection, confined spaces, fire protection, lockout/tagout procedures, crane, derrick, and hoist safety, electrical safety, and machine guarding.
