This course is intended for individuals who will be teaching the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard to an adult audience. Students will learn presentation skills and the principles of teaching adults. It is recommended that students attend the one-day Bloodborne Pathogens course or have some familiarity with the topic before attending this instructor development course. Students will be required to develop and present a 30-minute training program during this course.

After completing this Train-the-Trainer program, participants will be able to: Understand bloodborne pathogens, transmission routes, and workplace exposure risks. Apply OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard requirements in training and workplace practice. Teach employees proper use of PPE, safe handling of sharps, and spill cleanup procedures. Develop and deliver effective training sessions on bloodborne pathogen awareness.

The target audience includes: Safety trainers and instructors Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) professionals Healthcare supervisors and team leads Infection control officers First aid / CPR instructors
